About Mae’s Dog Photography Session
Laura approached me in April of 2025, a few days before Mae’s final assessment to become a medical alert assistance dog, hoping to celebrate their achievement with some portraits of Mae at Tulley’s Farm Tulip Festival. Laura’s training with Mae to become a Medical Detection Dog has been life changing for Laura, helping her to live life to the fullest. It’s a truly inspirational story and I am so pleased to have been able to capture these memories for Laura. Find out more about their story here.
We were very lucky to have a beautiful sunny day for the photoshoot and the tulips were in full bloom and full of colour. Mae was a very easy model, perfectly well trained to pose for her portraits.

We met at a lovely local café for Laura to look through Mae’s portraits and choose how to showcase her favourite photographs. After considering how the photographs would look displayed in Laura’s home, thinking about if there would be light coming onto the wall and creating distracting reflections on a gloss print – Laura opted for a matte finish board mounted print and an accordion mini book.

Owner’s Thoughts on the Dog Photography Session:
“Our photo shoot was extremely chilled out and we managed to get some wonderful shots! Liv was great helping to direct me to get the most out of my dog’s shoot because I was a complete novice! The editing was spot on and Liv took time to go through all the print options. I would highly recommend.”
